Sunrise in Riyadh, through my smudged hotel window comes the first signs of the country's contrasts -
From left to right:
- A mosque
- A modern building with a transparent copper facade
- Two, chillingly-named buildings with "Twin Towers" written on them, first in english and then, I assume, Arabic
- A fancy hotel
- An empty lot that's been dug-out, waiting for a new building to go up.
And the first day of adventure begins!
